Sterling Heights, Michigan has Pigeon Problems

The following are pigeon problems related to us by residents of the Sterling Heights, Michigan area:

I live in an apartment building. Pigeons are a serious problem, especially in my area of the building. They are also land on my balcony and defecate. They come to the door and make odd noises like they want to come in. The management has taken very minor steps to solve the issue. I have told them that the 100 or so pigeons spend the day at a nearby highway off ramp and how they come to our building at night. I was told that bird spikes would be installed, which has not been done. They also said they would clean my balcony, which has not been done. I am fed up with waiting. Please come exterminate these disgusting birds and I plan on giving them the bill. Sarah J.

My next door neighbor feeds pigeons everyday in the little park area near our home. The birds now roost on our house, and our neighbor's house (not the one doing the feeding). The birds are taking over everywhere. We can not get the neighbor to stop feeding. He likes the beasts, but the pigeon poop is killing our trees in the yard and contaminating our garden and yard and roofs. Any suggestions besides killing my neighbor would be great. Nigel B.

Pigeons have come into the attic of my home since a piece of siding on the eave of my roof fell free in a storm. Right now there are only 2 or 3 pigeons, but I'm sure that number can grow quickly. I need them removed as soon as possible and the hole repaired. Joni E.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Sterling Heights and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Sterling Heights, Michigan Raccoon Problems

Raccoon removal can be a big challenge for the residents of Sterling Heights:

We used to have raccoons in the attic but we repaired the vents and have not noticed them for a while. But, recently we have a nasty odor in the house. Is it possible this is from raccoon urine/feces left behind in our house? The infected area is hard to get to so I haven't been able to check. Patti N.

I tried to trap a raccoon last night for a neighbor because it was getting into the house and eating the dog food. The problem is I caught the animal and now do not know what to do with it. I found out it is illegal to release them into the wild, and I'm not sure how to load the trap into my car and am not sure I would want it there if I did. What do I do next? Thank you! Jake S.

It appears I have a raccoon living between the first and second floors of my house. I have no idea how he got there. But I know he IS there because I saw his head sticking out between two rafters (floor/ceiling joists) where the furnace is located. It is scary to think that thing has access to my home. Alli B.
